Minimum Criteria to be in the PRDFS Program:

  • Any student aged 16-19 is eligible to attend the program free of charge.
  • Student must be a self-starter willing to work hard.
  • Student must exhibit a positive attitude.
  • All students from outside Powell River must apply before June 1st

PEN Number The Personal Education Number (PEN) is a nine digit number assigned to each student as they enter the British Columbia education system. This identification number follows the student through their Early Learning, B.C. K-12 and post secondary education. This number is used for multiple purposes including; the distribution of funding to schools, transition analysis between schools, districts and post secondary education, exams and student reporting.
It is required that you discuss the program with your counselor before applying
Media studies are not a required prerequisite. We would just like to know what kind of experience you have had.
